Experience Japanese New Year Traditions in December
On Saturday, December 16, 2023, celebrate Japanese New Year Traditions from 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. This year, The Garden is showcasing three traditional Japanese crafts – mochitsuki, mochibana, and kadomatsu. These demonstrations showcase the craftsmanship and skill that have been a part of Japanese new year traditions for hundreds of years. This celebration is free with Garden Admission.

The Garden’s current winter hours are Tuesday – Sunday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
