Give Help, Get Help
This is really a great idea. Not everyone has a family member living close by to call for help. Sometimes it’s even hard to call a neighbor, especially now.
Across America, AARP is bringing help to those who need it. For those who don’t need help and would like to help can sign up to be available or can even start their own group.
Its Called Mutual Aid Group. What is a Mutual Group? According to AARP: Mutual aid groups are informal groups of volunteers that band together to find effective ways to support those people most in need who live in their local community. Mutual aid can include picking up groceries, providing financial assistance, or lending emotional support to your neighbors.
You never know, you may find a really great friend in the process.
