The popular Tempe bookstore that became a Phoenix household name on Mill Avenue in the 1970s before moving to a strip mall in 1998 — never losing its customer base — has opened a second location in uptown Phoenix, along with what might be Arizona’s first book bar. Selling more than books, they are now serving food, wine and beer. Buzz about the new venue on social media gives positive reviews.
If you haven’t yet been — and we’re sure you’re going to go — consider meeting friends for Happy Hour. Monday through Friday, from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m., expect $1 off the wine and beer on tap.
