The Fairmont Scottsdale Princess celebrates the Fourth of July all summer long but will debut its fourth annual Freedom Fest July 4-6, 2014, with vintage air shows, concerts, fireworks, all-American fare, military tributes and poolside fun — and, in further salute to America’s heroes, purchases of vacation packages will benefit military families.
For the Vintage Air Show, expect to see military aircraft that flew in World War II, Korea and Vietnam, co-piloted by retired veterans, and veteran parachutists. Visit the resort’s main lobby to learn about the aircraft history of each plane. Members of the military will visit with kid campers who take part in Trailblazers Kids Club.
Come on over to the Princess Lagoon Lawn the evenings of July 4 and 5 for the Freedom Fest tribute concerts and fireworks display. It’s offered free to overnight guests and to resort dinner guests at La Hacienda, Bourbon Steak or Ironwood American Kitchen.

Sonoran Splash turns Techno Glo Pool Party at night, with fog, lasers, professional glow-in-the-dark hula hoopers and DJ Splash spinning disco beats.
During your stay, hang out at the resort’s lagoons and ride the the Zipper, a speedy 25-mph zip line, stretching 240-feet across the lagoons. It’s open weekends, all summer long. Also try catch-and-release fishing and new remote-controlled boat races led by Ranger Rick.
